Seva and rituals
The Shree Ram Temple is devoted to preserving sacred rituals, daily seva, and timeless traditions that have been followed for years.
The Shree Ram Temple stands as a symbol of faith, unity, and devotion, welcoming millions of devotees throughout the year to experience its sacred traditions.
Morning Awakening (Pre-dawn to Early Morning)
- Mangala Aarti (4:30 AM): The first ritual to awaken Lord Ram Lalla.
- Abhishek & Shringar (4:40 AM – 6:30 AM): The deity is ritually bathed and adorned with new clothes and jewelry.
- Shringar/Jagaran Aarti (6:30 AM): Performed after the deity is fully dressed for the day.
- Morning Darshan (7:00 AM – 11:30 AM): General public entry for viewing the deity.
Midday Worship (Noon)
- Bhog Aarti (12:00 PM): A ceremony where food is offered to the Lord.
- Temple Break (12:30 PM – 2:00 PM): The sanctum remains closed for the deity’s Shayan (rest period).
Evening Prayer (Afternoon to Dusk)
- Afternoon Darshan (2:00 PM – 7:00 PM): The temple reopens for the second session of public visits.
- Sandhya Aarti (7:30 PM): An elaborate evening prayer with lamps and chanting
Night Rest (Late Evening)
- Shayan Aarti (9:30 PM): The final ritual performed before the Lord retires for the night.
- Temple Closing (10:00 PM): The gates close to the public until the next morning.
